The SCLC (student law club) at UiTM (Universiti Teknologi Mara) officially opened in Feb 2007. The students have started their first teachings in the communities at Dengkil and Slim River. Both areas are Tamil communities suffering from extreme poverty. Prior to allowing the students to start their community teachings, BAB held several workshops for professors and students, allowing them to become very familiar with the methodology and the importance of good interactive lesson plans. The law club will also participate in an in-house legal clinic at the university. Procedures for this clinic are currently being established.
